(Ottawa) – CEP Forensic congratulates Michael Rushton who recently delivered a training seminar at the 68th IAAI International Training Conference held from April 9-14, 2017 in Las Vegas, USA.
Mr. Rushton, M.A.Sc., CET, CFEI, Fire and Explosion Forensic Investigator at CEP Ottawa presented a technical seminar entitled “Sunlight as an Ignition Source”. This presentation investigated the subject of the propensity of ignition of common combustible materials as a result of exposure to a concentration of radiation originating from the sun.
Inspiration for this peculiar topic came from a fire investigation conducted by Mr. Rushton, where he unexpectedly found that the fire ignition resulted from the sunlight heat concentrated through a curved mirror.
