June 6, 2017   by CSIO (Centre for Study of Insurance Operations)

Toronto – The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) was pleased to announce an industry solution for the digital delivery of proof of auto insurance cards, or eSlips, at Gore Mutual Insurance Company’s Fast Forward broker event held on June 6 in Toronto.

Gore Mutual, Northbridge Insurance, RSA Canada and a number of brokerages have expressed their support for an industry solution for the simple, universal delivery of eSlips to consumers across all jurisdictions.

Features of CSIO’s industry-driven eSlips solution:

  • Supports digital wallet technology on consumers’ mobile devices
  • Easy, accessible way for brokers and insurers to provide consumers with a digital interaction
  • Requires no investment in portals, mobile apps or broker management system (BMS) enhancements

“Nearly half of Canadian consumers have expressed an interest in receiving their proof of auto insurance electronically,” says Catherine Smola, President and CEO of CSIO. “By leveraging the pervasiveness of digital wallets, the CSIO eSlips solution will provide consumers with the option of receiving their proof of auto insurance in digital form.”

Further details will be provided in the coming months. To learn more, contact eslips@csio.com.
