CSIO Launches Version 2 of its eDocs Availability Chart

May 24, 2017   by CSIO (Centre for Study of Insurance Operations)

(Toronto – May 24, 2017) The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is pleased to announce significant enhancements to its eDocs Availability Chart. This reference tool, originally launched in October 2016, shows which types of documents insurance companies send as eDocs for personal lines, commercial lines and farm policies.

The new enhancements include a revised design for improved user experience as well as additional information noting which insurers provide the Insured Copy as eDocs. Currently, eight insurers send the Insured Copy:

  • Intact Insurance
  • L’Unique General Insurance
  • Norfolk Mutual Insurance Company
  • Optimum General Inc.
  • Peace Hills Insurance
  • SGI CANADA
  • Trillium Mutual Insurance Company
  • West Wawanosh Mutual Insurance Company

“We are quite pleased to increase the value of the eDocs Availability Chart through these enhancements,” states Catherine Smola, President & CEO, CSIO. “These improvements to the chart were made in direct response to enhancement suggestions we received from our members.

Members may provide feedback on the chart, including updates on eDocs availability from insurers, by emailing helpdesk@csio.com.

In addition, CSIO has launched a brief survey, How Satisfied Are You with eDocs? to help gather information on the use of eDocs in our industry. The survey takes less than 2 minutes to complete and enters respondents into a $100 Visa gift card prize draw.
