DAS Canada honoured with Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade Lew Dunn Memorial award, for its commitment to fighting cancer

Toronto, ON – DAS Canada and its CEO Barbara Haynes are honoured at receiving the Lew Dunn Memorial Award given by the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade Ontario Chapter. The award was received by Barbara at the WICC Ontario gala held in Toronto last week.

“We are touched by this honour,” said Barbara Haynes. “We have been involved in the fight against cancer through Relay for Life since we started in Canada back in 2009. A large number of our employees enjoy participating in Relay for Life and other WICC events supporting the raising of funds in this great cause.  Barbara served on the board of WICC for many years leading the initial efforts at building a national sponsor base in the industry.  “As an organization we are committed to giving back to the community. I am also particularly proud of our employees who enthusiastically volunteer their time for the cause.”

DAS Canada’s involvement with WICC spans the country, as Shari Sanders from DAS Canada’s Vancouver office is currently on the board for WICC BC and is the chair of their annual golf tournament.

WICC is a pillar charity as selected by DAS Canada’s Staff Charity Committee and DAS will continue to support and share a common crusade in the fight against cancer.
