DAS Canada is being recognized as a Great Place to Work®

April 22, 2016   by DAS Canada

DAS Canada is being recognized as one of this year’s Best Workplaces in Canada. This list and related stories appeared in a special national report on Friday April 22, 2016 in The Globe and Mail.

Being a great place to work is one of the core values at DAS Canada. It’s a value that guides both strategic and day-to-day decision making, helping create a rewarding work environment for the entire DAS team. It is also a commitment demonstrated every day, from offering competitive benefits and professional development training to having regular team building events and a means for staff to thank each other for going above and beyond.

“This is the foundation to creating a strong corporate culture. It empowers our staff to come together as a team, to quickly overcome challenges and decisively act on opportunities” said Barbara Haynes, CEO of DAS Canada. “We are honoured to be recognized as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada. We are a young company and those who’ve joined us show they want to be part of building something different and exciting. I would like to thank all DAS Canada team members for their passion and belief that we’re a great place to work in support of our vision of building access to justice for Canadians.”

This list of “Best Workplaces in Canada” is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada.  The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a 58-statement survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about their organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a Great Place to Work®: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.

This year’s list received over 300 nominations and over 60,000 employees participated in the 2016 “Best Workplaces in Canada” survey.
