The Guarantee Supports the Canadian Red Cross Spring Floods Appeal with a $10,000 donation

Toronto, ON, May 11, 2017 – With flooding caused by persistent rains having recently escalated into a state of emergency in areas of Quebec and Ontario, The Guarantee Company of North America (The Guarantee) responds with support to the Canadian Red Cross. The Guarantee has donated $10,000 to the Canadian Red Cross Spring Floods Appeal to assist individuals, families and communities affected by the flooding.

“The Guarantee is pleased to support the Canadian Red Cross in their efforts to assist Canadians affected by the current state of emergency,” says Richard Pouliot, National VP, Operations & Distribution Management. “We know that unforeseen events can be devastating and we hope our $10,000 donation will assist the Red Cross in supporting those in need who have been impacted by the catastrophic flooding.”

The Guarantee is also making every effort to assist customers affected by the flooding. A cross-department Emergency Response Team continues to monitor the situation and its impact on policyholders, while claims experts are already in the affected areas meeting with customers to assess the damages and ensuring that policyholders remain informed and in control throughout each development.
