Rakesh’s broad work experience is gained in the Heavy Civil Industry spanning across Design, Management and Construction of Transportation Infrastructure and Oil & Gas projects.
Rakesh Bandaru MSCE, PEng, PMP
Rakesh’s work experience started on a multi-storey concrete building for a University. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Rakesh worked as a Field Engineer for a General Contractor on various bridge projects across the U.S. and Canada.
Rakesh’s responsibilities on these projects included procurement, tracking change order work and delay impacts, and monitoring and forecasting budgets on construction of bridge elements such as piers, steel girder erection, deck reinforcement and concrete pours and surveying.
Following his bridge construction experience, Rakesh worked as a project engineer on multiple projects in the Fort McMurray Oil Sands region located in Northern Alberta, building deep foundations for heavy Coker units, pipe racks, storm water sewer systems and other utilities.
Rakesh’s responsibilities included all project engineering and control aspects of these projects including creating execution plans, lift drawings, RFI’s, on site designs, quantity reconciliations, claim preparation, schedule and budget monitoring and reporting to Project Stakeholders.
