Pario Engineering and Environmental Sciences’ Edward Poon Receives Consulting Engineer (C. Eng.) Designation

Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences (Pario), one of Canada’s top
providers of engineering and environmental services, announced today that Edward Poon, the Director of the company’s Brantford Office, has been awarded the designation of Consulting Engineer by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). Consulting engineering is a professional service that provides independent expertise in engineering.

Edward Poon has more than 13 years of experience in the Engineering industry. He is a Member of Professional Engineers Ontario, Professional Engineers Nova Scotia, Association of Professional Engineers and Geologists of Alberta, and a qualified designer with the Ontario Building Code. His specializations include Structural Failure Cause Analysis, Structural Damage Assessment, Building Science, Deficiencies / Failures Analysis, and Building Code Consultations. He is qualified as an Expert Witness in the province of Ontario, has experience in Alternative Dispute Resolutions (mediation, arbitration) and is also the Catastrophe Team Lead for Pario.

To be a Consulting Engineer, a candidate must be a member of the PEO and have greater than five years of professional engineering experience and be engaged in the independent practice of professional engineering. The ability to use this designation is controlled under the Professional Engineers Act R.R.O 1990, Regulation 941.
