Rise & Shine PJ Walk for Kids Presented by ServiceMaster Restore

ServiceMaster Restore firmly believes they don’t just work in the community, they work with the community. That’s why ServiceMaster Restore has teamed up with Ronald McDonald House Charities® Atlantic as the presenting sponsor for the very first Rise & Shine PJ Walk for Kids.

Ronald McDonald House Charities® Atlantic helps keep families close to each other, giving them the care they need, when they need it the most. These programs include Ronald McDonald House, a home-away-from-home for out of town families with sick children, and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, an oasis of calm inside the walls of the hospital.

On June 11th, 2017, the Rise & Shine PJ Walk for Kids is kicking off in three Maritime locations – Halifax, Charlottetown and Moncton. The funds raised for this event will help ensure that families from these communities have a place to stay when their child is receiving treatment at the IWK Health Centre or a place to visit while their child receives medical care at The Moncton Hospital.

Alexandra Vallee, ServiceMaster Restore Business Development Representative, Atlantic was on hand at the media launch for the event and said, “Ronald McDonald House Charities is a perfect fit since we know the importance of helping families get their lives and homes back to normal.”

The event will start with a pancake breakfast followed by a one or three kilometre walk in pyjamas with en route entertainment and ends with a post-walk celebration with activities and snacks for the whole family to enjoy.
