The Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) is sounding a call for industry members to create Relay for Life teams in various locations across Canada, in the hopes of having 100 WICC teams participating this summer.
A WICC subcommittee, including director Tracy Laughlin, co-chairs Paul Martin and Robert Landry and other directors and industry contacts, has been formed to handle WICC’s involvement in the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
WICC is directing its support towards one event location in particular, dubbed WICC HQ on June 19, at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York.
The call has already gone out to all members of the insurance industry to get involved as part of the WICC HQ event, or at a Relay For Life site closer to home.
Industry employees, regardless of location, can participate in Relay For Life and 100% of their pledges will be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society through WICC.
For more information, and to sign up your team, go to the special RFL section of the WICC website at www.wicc.ca
