The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) has presented its 2010 CSIO Annual Achievement Award to The Economical Insurance Group (TEIG) for the insurer's Insurance on Demand solution.
CSIO gives out an award each year to one of its members for the innovative use of CSIO standards. Kathryn Curran and Maureen Tomlinson accepted the award on behalf of The Economical at the CSIO's annual general meeting in Toronto on May 11.
"Insurance on Demand is a broker-branded, comparative quoting, purchasing and customer self-service Web site," the CSIO said in a statement. "It enables brokers to create and develop their Web presence and compete in a space previously only available for, and dominated by, direct writers."
Insurance On Demand allows customers to manage their insurance online, including home, auto, condo and tenant policies directly through brokers' Web sites.
