e-djuster Inc., a technology solutions provider, has acquired The Claims Network (TCN), a privately held, Winnipeg-based company that offers software solutions to the property and casualty industry.

e-djuster says the deal will give the company national reach and improve its Canadian market-share position as a leading provider of content claims solutions for the property claims industry.

The acquisition takes effect on Aug. 1. As a result, TCN’s national claims services operation will be fully amalgamated into e-djuster’s employee-based claims services model, notes a company statement.

Operating under the e-djuster brand identity, the combined entity will handle $300 million in replacement cost value (RCV) annually, Andy Williams, president and CEO of e-djuster, says in the statement.

“The acquisition provides us with a significant increase in claims staff, with expanded national ground coverage and greater depth in our in-house pricing,” Williams points out. “We felt that with continued industry consolidation present in our marketplace, it was important for us to pursue other means of expanding our field service infrastructure and technology platform to accommodate the increased size and service expectations of Canada’s major property insurers.”
