The Insurance Institute, in collaboration with the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association (OIAA), is officially launching a training program to help adjusters understand serious injuries.
Understanding Serious Injury: Adjuster Training & Education is a comprehensive, eight-day program offering applied technical training and education specifically developed for adjusters and their employers.
The program will be available to all levels of adjusters beginning April 2012, following a successful and well-received pilot in November 2011, according to an Insurance Institute release.
The course marks the first such collaboration between the Insurance Institute and the OIAA. It was developed in response to a recommendation made during the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO)'s most recent five-year review of the province's auto insurance legislation.
