Employees from The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company (The Dominion) have volunteered to put their building skills to the test in support of Habitat for Humanity Halton.
Habitat for Humanity Halton is a local, non-profit, faith-based organization working for a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. In its first 11 years, Habitat for Humanity Halton has helped lift 15 families out of poverty.
Employees from The Dominion's Oakville office, along with local independent insurance brokers from Utter Morris Insurance Brokers Ltd. and The Magnes Group, will work in shifts Dec. 6-8, assisting with the finishing touches on two condo units in the Burlington community.
Families from the Halton region will occupy the units, which are planned to be move-in-ready before year-end.
