Guarantee Company of North America appoints two members to board of directors

The Guarantee Company of North America has appointed Bev Wittmack and Dawn Tattle to its board of directors.

Wittmack is a director of JEH Enterprises Inc., a privately-owned business consortium with major holdings in commercial and residential real estate in Canada and the United States, as well as in the Canadian hotel and agricultural industries.

She used to be president and CEO of Humford Developments, a commercial and residential real estate development company in the two countries and Humford Management Inc., a real estate management company in Alberta. Wittmack has served on corporate and government board and committees, primarily in Alberta.

Tattle is a geo-structural engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. She also serves on the Ontario Ministry of Labour’s Prevention Council. Prior to full-time consulting, Tattle was president and partner of Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd.

 

EFI Global Canada adds senior fire investigator

EFI Global Canada has announced that John Martin will join the company as a senior fire investigator to help develop and implement EFI’s fire investigation services. As a certified fire and explosion investigator, Martin will be responsible for investigating, assessing fire and explosion damage. He will also handle determining the origin and cause of fires to vehicles, residential property and commercial property.

Martin will be based in the Woodstock and London, Ont. area, responding to fires in southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area as necessary. He has more than 15 years of experience investigating fires, including fire inspections, staff training, document control, fire safety plan development and implementation and smoke alarm verification.

 

FM Global appoints senior vp of underwriting and reinsurance

FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial and industrial property insurers, announced earlier this week that it has appointed Randy E. Hodge to the position of senior vice president of underwriting and reinsurance.

Hodge, who joined the company in 1990, will now manage the company’s underwriting and reinsurance functions and will be based in FM Global’s corporate offices in Johnston, R.I.

With more than 27 years of expertise at FM Global, Hodge has held a variety of engineering, client service and management positions within the company and most recently serves as vice president and operations manager of FM Global’s operations in Atlanta, Ga.
