AGCS announces leadership changes in North America

Copyright: 123RF.com/dolgachovAllianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS) has announced that Henning Haagen will be taking over as North American regional head of specialty lines, and Rich Soja will become the new North American regional head of marine.

Both appointments are effective Dec. 31, and follow the retirement of John Barnwell, who spent more than 20 years with AGCS.

“John Barnwell’s leadership has been instrumental to the organization throughout his tenure, and we are most grateful for the dedication and professionalism he shared with us over the years,” AGCS North America president and CEO Bill Scaldaferri said in a statement.

As head of specialty, Haagen will be responsible for the aviation, energy, entertainment and marine segments throughout North America. As head of marine, Soja will oversee the underwriting of inland and ocean marine business.

Haagen and Soja will both continue in their current roles as Northeast zone executive in the U.S. and global head of inland marine, respectively.
