Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Miguel Criscuolo to the position of Executive Underwriter for Crisis Management, effective immediately.
Based in Miami, Criscuolo will be handling risks in product recall and contamination, hostile environment and political violence for North America. He will report to Marcos Garcia Norris, Crisis Management Regional Practice Leader in North America.
“Our crisis management team addresses some of the most volatile and complex risks a business can face,” says Garcia Norris. “Miguel’s experience will serve as a steady guide as well as a springboard for new and innovative solutions critical to the needs of our brokers and clients.”
Criscuolo joins AGCS from Starr Companies where he served as an underwriting manager. Prior to that, he spent more than 18 years with American International Group (AIG) holding numerous positions, including regional manager for environmental liability and crisis management and assistant vice president of the worldwide liabilities group.
Launched globally in 2015, AGCS Crisis Management (part of the liability division) assists clients in preventing, preparing for and recovering from crisis incidents in the following areas: product recall and contamination, hostile environment solutions and political violence. Beyond covering financial losses, AGCS also offers its clients crisis management support services globally, on a 24/7 basis through its partner company WorldAware.
Criscuolo holds an MBA from St. John’s University’s Tobin School of Risk Management, a J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico and a BA from Universidad del Sagrado Corazon, San Juan.
