AIG names new head of North America general insurance field operations

American International Group (AIG) has named Timothy DeSett as its new head of field operations for North America General Insurance.
DeSett will be leading the development and implementation of plans for products, segments and markets within North America, and will also oversee AIG’s industry segment leaders, broker and client engagement, branch managers and regional leaders within North America.

“[Tim’s] background in distribution and underwriting, together with his proven ability to lead, will be great assets to AIG in support of our clients and business partners and as we move the company forward,” AIG’s COO of North America General Insurance Ken Riegler said in a news release.
DeSett will join AIG in February. He has worked with Lockton Companies since 2002, most recently as the corporation’s executive VP of risk practices, and he has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.
