Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS) has announced a number of changes to its board of management that will come into effect next year.
On July 1, 2018, AGCS COO Sinead Browne will take over as chief regions and markets officer, following the retirement of Carsten Scheffel in June.
Succeeding Browne as COO is Bettina Dietsche, the current head of group operations at Allianz SE, who will join AGCS on April 1, 2018, subject to approval by regulators and the supervisory board.
Alexander Mack, the current chief claims officer for AGCS, will retire on June 30, 2018. Philipp Cremer will assume the non-board-level role of global head of claims and report to AGCS CEO Chris Fischer Hirs.
“Thank you to both Carsten and Alexander for their many years of excellent work on behalf of AGCS, and Allianz Group more broadly,” Hirs said in a statement. “Both have been with AGCS from the early years of our foundation helping expand our business and creating the strong global organization we are today.”
