This means that the Mississauga, Ont.-based technology company can now access CSIO data standards, industry forms and the centre’s data exchange network for the software and business services it provides to the P&C industry.

“At Symcor, we are committed to enabling insurers to execute their digital transformation and product innovation initiatives across the insurance value chain, and we recognize that adopting data standards is crucial to successfully implementing such initiatives,” said Geoff Bonn, vice president of insurance services at Symcor, in a statement.

“That is primarily why we became a member of CSIO and we’re motivated to start integrating CSIO standards into our solutions to help our clients achieve their goals and stay competitive in this rapidly evolving marketplace,” he added.

Symcor is the most recent addition to CSIO’s network of technology vendor members. Guidewire Software, TechCanary, Deloitte and Kumaran Systems also joined this year.

“It is exciting to enhance our growing membership base with another software vendor member,” said Catherine Smola, president and CEO of CSIO, in a statement. “Symcor has a commitment to reducing cost and risk for its business partners while enhancing speed to market, customer experience, and service quality and these are also benefits of leveraging standards, so I’m sure they will find CSIO membership beneficial.”
