“Anyone watching the news can understand why municipalities and organizations such as health units and schools would want to explore terrorism coverage. It’s hard to predict where vulnerabilities can occur from one month to the next. This suite of coverages helps to transfer some of that risk via an insurance product,” said Larry Ryan, president of Frank Cowan, in a statement.

Clients now have access to active assailant event insurance; chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear insurance; terrorism property insurance; and terrorism liability insurance.

Frank Cowan Company partnered with XL Catlin Syndicate 2003 at Lloyd’s to bring the coverage to market.
