Gore Mutual hosts inaugural Digital Touchpoint meeting

Gore Mutual Chief Marketing and Distribution Officer Paul JacksonGore Mutual held its first Digital Touchpoint meeting in Toronto last week at Cookhouse Lab, an InsurTech innovation hub.

The day saw brokers, InsurTechs and other mutual insurance carriers come together to discuss how brokers can succeed in a digital marketplace.

“We’re trying to get everyone to think differently about how we can work together in partnership,” said Paul Jackson (pictured), Gore’s chief marketing and distribution officer. “We can get much further much faster by working together with real collaboration.”

Guest speakers included Monitor Deloitte strategist Mukul Ahuja, Cookhouse Lab co-founder Sven Roehl and Maor Daniel, director of global corporate sales at Microsoft Bing.

Gore shared information on its digital product roadmap at the event, and announced its plans to open a digital lab in the fall.

“We’re committed to creating ongoing dialogues with digitally minded brokers, InsurTechs and other insurers to help modernize the broker channel and make insurance better for customers,” said Sachin Rustagi, director of digital at Gore Mutual. “We’ll be regularly holding these Digital Touchpoints to help facilitate this.”
