Hub makes second acquisition in Southwestern Ontario in a week

It’s been a busy few days for Hub International Limited, which announced its second acquisition of a brokerage in Southwestern Ontario in a single week.

On Friday, Hub announced it has acquired Southland Insurance Brokers Inc. (Southland). Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

With Ontario offices in Leamington, Tecumseh and Harrow, Southland has been providing customers in Windsor and Essex County with home, auto, travel and commercial insurance for more than 50 years. Southland will join Hub Ontario under the leadership of Rob Keilty, CEO of Hub Ontario.

“Hub has a large practice in Southwestern Ontario and we are excited to expand our capabilities in the region with the acquisition of Southland,” says Keilty. “Southwestern Ontario is an important area for economic development in Ontario and Hub Ontario is committed to growing our presence in this region. We are very happy to welcome the Southland team to the Hub Ontario family.”
