The Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta (IBAA) has voiced its support for the eDelivery solution that is being developed by the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) and its broker and insurer partners.
The CSIO is working with insurers that include RSA Canada, Northbridge Insurance and Gore Mutual in developing the technology for the electronic delivery of personal and commercial policy documents and auto liability cards to consumers.
“We are very happy with this solution and the benefits it will provide to our members,” said George Hodgson, IBAA’s CEO, in a statement. “A simple, standardized option for providing a digital experience to consumers is precisely what many brokers are looking for when it comes to sending policy documents, and this solution will meet that need.”
The release of the tool is expected in early 2018. CSIO initially announced it was working with partners on this project in June.
“We are excited that IBAA has stepped forward to publicly endorse and promote our eDelivery solution to its members,” said Catherine Smola, president and CEO of CSIO, in a statement. “Their support shows that the eDelivery solution directly addresses consumer expectations for fast, easy and convenient digital interactions with their insurance provider.”
