mergers-01Montreal-based insurance law firm Fraticelli Provost has merged with Langlois lawyers, LLP in order to strengthen both firms’ service offerings.

Langlois offers an array of commercial insurance services, including insurance law. Fraticelli Provost, conversely, specializes in representing civil, commercial, and professional liability insurers as well as insurance service suppliers in related fields. Both firms offer professional services to construction companies and contractors.

“We have strong affinities with Langlois lawyers, primarily [through] shared business culture, the synergies of our respective areas of expertise, and our common concern to offer personalized service tailored to the needs of our clients. Through this unification, our firm has increased its footprint in an increasingly sophisticated legal-services market,” says Richard Provost, senior partner and founding member of Fraticelli Provost, in a press release.

The 13 employees of Fraticelli Provost will move into Langlois’ office on Sept. 1, and will then operate under the name Langlois lawyers, LLP. The merger increases both firms’ service offering to clients and prospects and their operational capacity, particularly in the practice areas of insurance law, construction-related litigation and professional liability, says the press release.
