Canada’s Top Employers for Young People is a national competition open to employers of all sizes in both the private and public sectors. Employers are evaluated on a wide range of initiatives, among them training and mentoring programs, tuition assistance for specific courses or professional designations, career management and progression and retention.

On making the list, Jacinta Whyte, deputy Group chief executive of Ecclesiastical Insurance, and general manager and chief agent for Canada commented: “We are honoured to have been awarded this very special designation and to be recognized for the employment opportunities we offer young people.”

Whyte added, “Our Business Intern Program continues to attract university graduates who are looking to build their careers in the commercial insurance industry. The Program is designed to help them become well-rounded professionals, strong business leaders and good corporate citizens. This unique award is also a testament to the expertise, commitment and dedication of Ecclesiastical’s leaders and team members across Canada. As teachers and mentors, they are the backbone of the Program’s success.”
