In a statement, Intact outlined three core areas of investment: “community resiliency action plans, tactical resiliency projects and new, forward-looking solutions for climate change impacts.”

Charities registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) are encouraged to submit grant applications for their projects at intactfc.com/foundation. Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. ET on October 17, 2017. Selected partnerships will be announced in late November.

This investment is in addition to Intact’s $4.25 million donation to establish the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation at the University of Waterloo, first announced in 2015.
