Global brokerage firm Marsh has appointed Kevin Richards to the newly created role of Global Head of Cyber Risk Consulting.
Richards will be based in Chicago and report to Michael Poulos, President of Marsh Risk Consulting and Global Head of Client Advisory Services.
In this newly-created role, Richards will be responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of Marsh’s cyber risk consulting business worldwide, closely collaborating with its regional and local cyber risk experts as well as Marsh’s cyber insurance brokerage teams, says the company.
“By constantly seeking to innovate around strategic risks such as cyber, we help clients to achieve their enterprise risk management and business goals,” says Mr. Poulos. “Through his proven track record of building and protecting the critical information assets of organizations globally, Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in information security that will enable us to advise our clients on solutions and strategies needed to meet the rapidly evolving cyber risk landscape.”
Richards adds, “The risk and insurance sector has a vital role to play in enabling firms to address and manage their cyber risks effectively. I’m delighted to be leading Marsh Risk Consulting’s strong global team of experts as we help organizations develop a comprehensive risk management framework and improve their cyber resilience.”
Richards joins Marsh from Accenture where he most recently led its North America Security Practice and its Global Security Strategy & Risk Practice. He is widely recognized in the cybersecurity and consulting industries, having been inducted into the Information System Security Association (ISSA) Hall of Fame for his contributions to the information security community and the security profession.
