McDougall acquires Worden Insurance & Financial Services

McDougall Insurance and Financial has acquired Worden Insurance and Financial Services Ltd.

Based in Oshawa, Ont., Worden has 13 employees, all of whom will remain with the organization, except owner Donna Crawford, who has chosen to retire.

Headquartered in Belleville, Ont., McDougall now has 33 offices in Eastern Ontario, the Ottawa Valley and Central Ontario. The company has 350 employees with more than $275 million in P&C premium.

For the time being, Worden will remain at its current branch location in Oshawa. At some point in the future, the office will merge with McDougall’s Oshawa branch under the leadership of current Oshawa manager and McDougall partner Christian Hutchison.
