mergers-01Calgary-based Toole Peet Insurance joined Navacord Inc. as a broker partner, which allows the brokerage to grow its business through an expanded service offering while remaining independent, said Toole Peet’s president.

“Our team looks forward to partnering with Navacord to enhance our brand and offerings, while broadening our network,” said Larry Toole, president at Toole Peet, through a statement. “We will maintain our local autonomy and focus on quality and timeliness for our long-standing customers but will have more vigour in future business as a Navacord partner.”

Larry Toole and Colin Toole, managing director at Toole Peet, continue to lead the company and there are not any plans to change the name. Toole Peet was established in 1905 and serves Calgarians’ personal and commercial insurance needs.

“Our team seeks out the best in our industry, and we feel Toole Peet is a perfect match for Navacord for us to succeed together,” said Shawn DeSantis, Navacord president and CEO, in a statement. “Their long-term industry experience and genuine relationships with clients will enhance our whole organization’s ability to provide customers with exceptional service.”

The collaboration between Toole Peet and Navacord is a part of the latter’s strategy to build regional broker operations across Canada. Navacord counts Jones DesLauriers Insurance Management Inc., JDIMI Consulting and Lloyd Sadd Insurance Brokers among its network of companies.
