New regional head of casualty business at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions appointed Jeff Summerville as head of its casualty business in North America. He is already leader of the insurer’s financial and professional lines for the same region and will continue in that role.

Summerville succeeds Robley Moor as head of casualty in North America. Moor is currently a key account manager in the company’s sales arm.

Summerville began managing the financial and professional lines businesses in 2014 and has overseen the expansion of the management liability, professional liability, cyber and transactional liability businesses.

“Jeff’s considerable experience and proven success managing our financial and professional lines make him an ideal leader for our casualty business,” said Ivan Gonzalez, CEO of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in North America, through a statement. “I’m confident he will successfully continue to manage our strong market position across all casualty lines by optimizing opportunities in the current market environment.”

Summerville has more than 25 years of underwriting and managerial experience. He is a subject matter expert in management liability insurance and alternative risk solutions.
