Ontario tech hub key for implementation of driverless cars: GM Canada CEO

CEO Steve Carlisle says the province has a strong foothold in advanced technologies that will be an important part of GM’s business.

He spoke at the launch of a new software centre in Markham, north of Toronto, which the company describes as the largest automotive innovation hub in the country.

GM also plans to open a “mobility campus” in Toronto to complement other research centres it has in Oshawa, Kapuskasing and Kitchener-Waterloo.
