digitalbusinessPolicy Works has unveiled a new commercial lines data exchange API with RSA Canada that eliminates the need to manually re-enter data into underwriting systems.

“RSA Canada has been a Certified Data-Exchange Partner since 2008,” Policy Works president John Eastly said in a news release. “We’ve collaborated with them on several connectivity strategies over the years and we’re very excited to bring this new technology platform to our broker partners across Canada.”

Effective immediately, RSA Canada underwriters can import submission data directly into their underwriting systems using Policy Works’ Smart Doc API, without having to retype any of the data found in PDF submissions.

When a quote is ready, brokers can download quote details and a PDF copy of the quote directly into their Policy Works system. They can also download customer renewal data that includes underwriting and coverage details.

“Helping our broker partners and underwriters work better together is key to our shared success,” said Rosalind Staples-Simpson, RSA Canada’s vice-president of commercial operations. “Our commercial lines integration with Policy Works helps everyone focus on high-value work aligned with driving our mutual growth ambitions, instead of re-typing information into different systems.”
