Thirty-one percent of Canadian executives think their organizations have benefitted from analytics, an EY study reveals.

Only 20 percent of their American and 26 percent of their global counterparts think this way.

But turning data into profit requires people as well as technology.

“Analytics insights can’t stand alone,” says Steven Maynard, EY partner and analytics leader. “They should be used to drive better business decisions and create value for the organization. That’s where the focus on people comes in. Leaders need to make sure that their staff are fully equipped and encouraged to use data analytics insights in their daily work.”
