marketing-1The Toronto Insurance Conference (TIC) is no more. Long live the Toronto Insurance Council.

At its annual general meeting in March, the membership of the group of commercially-focused insurance brokers voted unanimously to change the name of the organization from the Toronto Insurance “Conference” to Toronto Insurance “Council.”

The change was thoroughly researched and supported by the TIC board of directors, says the organization in a release. TIC is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. It was decided that the word “Conference” does not have the same meaning in 2018 that it did in 1918, but that the familiar “TIC” acronym should stay.

“This name update will help the TIC to clarify its identity and adopt a more relevant presence in today’s industry,” says TIC President, Rael Levy.

The organization has also re-branded with a new logo as well as a new website (www.ticbrokers.ca) and general information email address: info@ticbrokers.ca.
