Winnipeg approves ride-hailing services

People in Winnipeg can soon use ride-hailing services.

City council has approved a bylaw that overhauls the regulation of the taxi industry and allows services like Uber and Lyft to start operations March 1st.

Mayor Brian Bowman says many people have been asking for the change.

Some taxi drivers and owners opposed the contentious bylaw.
