Book Drive & Pub Nite in support of The Children’s Book Bank                                       Jan 30, 2019  5:30 -7:30

The Toronto Chapter of the CDL Young Lawyer’s Division is hosting a pub night fundraiser to support The Children’s Book Bank, a registered charity dedicated to building literacy in low-income communities.

Canadian Defence Lawyers recognizes that access to age appropriate reading material outside of the classroom is essential in helping children reach their potential. To support this goal, members are invited to come with a book (or two)  and stay for a complimentary drink with friends and colleagues.

You are encouraged to bring a book to donate to the charity. A donation box will be available at the event for books. A helpful guide on what books are suitable can be found here: http://www.childrensbookbank.com/donating-book-drives/.  We will also collect cash donations for the Children’s Book Bank.
