Is this the best option for me?
The BC Level 1 Licensing GIE one week course option is the route to take for:
• newcomers and those who have been away from the education process for some time and are looking for an entry-level program;
• support positions wanting an overview of the industry with some detail about policies and claims’ routines;
• those who prefer an in-class option supported by an instructor with a quick, immersion type timeline.
Examinations for lower mainland students will be held at the Insurance Institute of BC. For out-of-town students registering for this course, please contact Sandra Enriquez for options as to the exam date and location.
Licensing exams are two (2) hours in duration and consist of 100 multiple-choice questions. 70% is required to pass.
Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be eligible to apply to the Insurance Institute of Canada to receive a credit for the CIP course, C11: Principles and Practice of insurance. The cost for this credit is $94.00 plus GST.
