Main Body We invite you to join us after work on Thursday, April 14th at the Downtown Marriott Hotel on Bay for our annual Speaker Panel Series and networking reception. This year’s discussion: “The Future of Insurance in the Age of Autonomous Vehicles.”

Last year, Ontario became the first jurisdiction in Canada, and one of the first globally, to introduce a framework to promote the development and testing of automated vehicles. It seems that this change is upon us, and few industries will be transformed more than the insurance industry. This YIPT panel discussion will share insight from industry experts on the implications of this rapidly developing technology from the different perspectives of both insurer and broker, as well as the only organization in Canada that is dedicated to helping private and public sector stakeholders prepare for the arrival of automated vehicles. Our panelists will include:

-Barrie Kirk – Executive Director, CAVCOE (Canadian Automated Vehicles Centre of Excellence)
-Scott Cober – National Transportation Practice Leader, Marsh Canada Ltd.
-Chris Reid – Director of Strategy, Intact

Attendees will be eligible for 1 Technical RIBO credit. This event was quick to sell out last year. Avoid disappointment and get your ticket ASAP!
Schedule The panel will run from 5:30-6:30pm, followed by a cocktail reception from 6:30-8pm. Food will be provided courtesy of our sponsors, and a cash bar will be available.
Fees $15 – Early Bird Admission
$20 – Regular Admission
