Halifax-based Huestis Ritch, member of Canadian Litigation Counsel, has named Elissa Hoverd as an associate of the firm. She joined the Ontario Bar in 2001 and the Nova Scotia Bar earlier this year.

Toronto-based Kingsway Financial Services has made several appointments, including naming John McGlynn as president and CEO of Kingsway General Insurance Co. He has over 20 years industry experience. Roger Beck has been named president and CEO of American Country Insurance Co., with 15 years industry experience, most recently as vice president at Lincoln General. Shelly Gobin has been named vice president and treasurer for Kinsgway Financial, with 15 years experience in the insurance industry. And Simon Argent has been named vice president, risk management for Kingsway Financial, with over 15 years experience in risk management and reinsurance.

Toronto brokerage Hargraft Schofield Ltd. has named Virginia Mavroudi as manager of brokerage operations. She brings more than 20 years experience in the brokerage community to her new role. Also, the firm has named Tim Robinson as claims manager, capitalizing on his more than 30 years industry experience in claims adjusting and administration.

Cunningham Lindsey Canada Ltd. has named Maureen Morao as accident benefits sales manager, with over 18 years claims experience. The firm also names Joel McQuilkin as branch manager for its Milton, ON, Transportation Fleet Services (TFS) office. He has been with the TFS team since 1992.
