CALGARY, AB, FEB. 18, 2021/insPRESS/ – 30 Forensic Engineering, Canada’s leading multidisciplinary forensic firm, is pleased to announce that Derek Wong B.Sc., B.A.Sc. has joined our Calgary office to bolster our expanding forensic engineering services in Western Canada. An Associate within our Collision Reconstruction Group, Derek has gained a wealth of experience via his multi-year tenure with the firm and has garnered numerous client accolades. Having already participated in high profile investigations throughout the West, Derek’s attention to detail and natural mechanical intuition will prove to be a valuable and local resource to our Western Canada clients.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering), with a specialization in Automotive Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Derek is also a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Prior to joining the firm, he worked in the automotive supply industry for a Tier 1 supplier of engine components and systems. At 30 Forensic Engineering, Derek conducts technical investigations and site examinations for collisions involving motor vehicles, pedestrians and recreational vehicles including automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, and other heavy machinery. His investigations also examine defects in vehicle components and mechanical equipment, failures involving engineering factors, and human factor related vehicle collisions.
