TORONTO, ON, Oct. 31, 2018/insPRESS/ – As APRIL’s mission is to make insurance easier, it seemed only logical for us to launch the APRIL University, to share our knowledge with our clients.
With a team of accredited professionals approved by RIBO, APRIL University is pleased to offer the following training programs:
– Essentials of Pleasure craft insurance (1.5 RIBO hours): This course will provide participants with knowledge of the various types of boats and motors and related pleasure craft coverage’s . This will increase the pleasure craft insurance knowledge to enable participants to better service their clients needs.
– The Ontario Rentals & AirBnB market (1 RIBO Hour) : This course will enable participants to better understand who are the Ontario landlords and AirBnB hosts, and what specific problems they may face with respect to insurance coverage. Participants will be introduced to our exclusive new insurance products, for unpaid rents and damage caused by tenants. Theses coverage’s specifically geared to landlords.
– Insurance for General and specialized contractors: This one-hour course is currently not accredited but is destined to become accredited it the near future. Our team of professionals will provide the public with a breakdown of our new contractors program, and the various coverage’s specifically geared to these operations. We will discuss our target clientele, and how we can work together on this exciting new product.
The first training sessions were successfully held in Quebec City, in some unusual locations such as the Quebec Aquarium and Notman House in Montreal, with over 180 participants.
The second phase will take place in November with training sessions in Toronto and Kitchener, with a strong registration rate.
New training programs in commercial automobile and commercial marine are currently in the development stage, which will further enhance the APRIL University portfolio of specialty insurance training programs. These programs can be offered, both as in-person training or as webinars.
