BBCG Claim Services Announces Retirement of Ted Baker

BBCG Claim Services (BBCG), a division of ClaimsPro Specialty Risk Division and national provider of specialized claims solutions, recently announced that the organization’s founding partner and President, W.E. (Ted) Baker has retired. 2017 marked Mr. Baker’s 50^th year in the insurance industry, and his myriad accomplishments and extensive expertise has earned him a reputation as the preeminent expert in Fidelity & Contract Surety claims.

Mr. Baker began his distinguished career in Toronto, where he was initially hired as an adjuster trainee with a regional insurance services firm. From there he traveled to New Zealand and Australia, returned to Toronto, became a Bond Claim Manager for another insurance company, and eventually led another adjusting firm to become Canada’s leading provider in Fidelity and Surety claims. In 1985, he began working with Arthur Goguen and Edouard Chassé and together they formed a working relationship that has lasted through several roles at different companies, involved travel to handle bond projects around the world, and resulted in the eventual formation of BBCG Claim Services.

Under the leadership of Mr. Baker, Mr. Goguen, and Mr. Chassé, BBCG became and remains Canada’s premier Fidelity and Surety claims adjusting firm with a superior reputation for claims settlement and overall performance. BBCG was acquired by ClaimsPro, Canada’s leading provider of independent adjusting services, in 2015.

Mr. Baker was one of the founding directors of the Surety Association of Canada, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Independent Adjusters Association. He was also a Certified Fraud Examiner. He handled several high profile claims in Canada and around the world and is regarded throughout the claims industry as a leader and mentor.

Ted Baker celebrated his retirement in April of this year with colleagues and friends. Mr. Goguen, Mr. Chassé, and all of Mr. Baker’s colleagues at BBCG Claim Services continue to uphold his standard of excellence and commitment to quality service.
