Deborah Sherren joins Vericlaim in Canada
Expert team advancing the company’s strategic growth in the Canadian market

TORONTO, September 8, 2016 – Sedgwick and its subsidiary Vericlaim, a global provider of loss adjusting and claims management solutions, are pleased to announce a strategic addition to their growing team in the Canadian market: Deborah Sherren has been appointed senior casualty claims adjuster.

Deborah Sherren has joined the Vericlaim Canada team and is now fully managing all lines of casualty claims, accident benefits and bodily injury claims for commercial and personal lines, as well as municipal accident benefits claims. She provides unique specialization in Ontario accident benefits and mediations/arbitration.

Having worked in the industry since 1990, Deborah brings depth of experience in accident benefits and municipal liability claims for large claims and insurance organizations. Her previous responsibilities included developing training materials for catastrophic claims management, conducting claims investigations and subrogation, and mentoring junior staff. Deborah also has served as a rehabilitation consultant, and provided on-site workers’ compensation consulting for the Ford Motor Company.

Published contributions from Deborah have appeared in various trade publications; articles include “LCLDD” (Without Prejudice, September 2016), “Uber, does a rose by any other name smell as sweet?” (Without Prejudice, October 2015), “Return of the Mandatory Paper Review” (Without Prejudice, June 2015) and “In Dispute” (Canadian Underwriter, July 2014) co-authored with Jason Frost.

Deborah is a 2013 CIP graduate of The Insurance Institute. She also completed interdisciplinary training courses at Seneca College and Sheridan College.
