TORONTO, ON, Jan. 27, 2021/insPRESS/ – 30 Forensic Engineering, Canada’s leading multi-disciplinary forensic firm, is pleased to announce that Dr. Adam Campbell Ph. D., Practice Lead, Human Factors Group, has been invited to speak at the 2021 Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) conference. While this may be the 127th iteration of the annual conference, it will be the first time it is hosted virtually.
OGRA is dedicated to bringing the latest ideas, best practices, and technological innovations to the municipal sector through its annual conference. As stated by the organizers, “Whether it is happening on a road, beside a road, below a road or because of a road, we invite you to come to the 2021 OGRA Conference to see what we see.” The Ontario Good Roads Association endeavours to ensure that municipal transportation interests and issues are considered by the other levels of government as they develop policies and priorities.
Delegates will enjoy an engaging agenda with high-level speakers, a trade show with industry-leading products, and social sessions. This will be the premier (roads focused) virtual event of 2021, with live and recorded sessions. Click HERE to view the full agenda.
On February 25, 2021, Dr. Adam Campbell, Practice Lead of the Human Factors Group at 30 Forensic Engineering, will be presenting at OGRA 2021 on Current and Future Trends in Roadway Liability. As a trial-experienced Forensic Human Factors expert, Dr. Campbell will take delegates ‘into the courtroom’ to expose the common reasons why road authorities are often found at-fault for collision events, how autonomous/connected vehicles and infrastructure will shift the current liability landscape, and to deliver practical strategies that road authorities can use to reduce their exposure, today and in the future.
Dr. Campbell is qualified expert in Human Factors, Driver and Pedestrian Behaviour, and Slip & Falls in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Dr. Campbell has extensive experience investigating personal injury events on behalf of public sector / municipalities / regions, their legal counsel and insurers, and personal injury lawyers in motor vehicle collision and personal injury claims involving drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists and trains. He regularly consults with government, policing agencies and rail authorities on human factors and safety policy reviews. Dr. Campbell received his doctorate in Neuromechanics from the University of British Columbia, and his ongoing research program aims to better understand the capacities and limitations of human performance in real-world collision and near-miss situations.
