CAMBRIDGE, ON, May 15, 2018 /insPRESS/ – Dumfries Mutual Insurance Company launches automobile and property insurance online quoting to better support its community and their agent distribution network through partnership with Mutual Concept Computer Group Inc. (MCCG).  Dumfries’ solution, https://onlinequote.dumfriesmutual.com, compliments Dumfries continued digital transformation by generating an easy to use application for consumers, while improving their Agent’s abilities to interact with their community.   By leveraging Dumfries existing rating engine within the Insurance Business Solution (IBS®), the consumer and agent can establish their relationship based on accurate and detailed pricing and identification of risk.  The OQS project was a fast follower to Dumfries adoption of a cloud approach to their infrastructure, late last year and the implementation of their new website.

“We were really looking for a way to ensure we were meeting the trends of consumers shopping online, while still wanting to preserve our relationship based mutual service model.  Our long standing values of providing great service with fair pricing and a simplified approach to insurance aligned directly with the OQS product.  People come first at Dumfries and we highly valued the anonymity this online product provides to the consumer, while still giving them access to our products and pricing.  Once they’ve made a conscious decision to receive great service from our team, the solution provides the point of contact for this relationship to move forward.  Dumfries has been charting a path of renewal over the last year, with this being a key initial step in our Digital Transformation.  We are eagerly awaiting further projects from MCCG, our Mutual Information Technology partner, that will allow us to provide a full digital experience for all aspects of the insurance lifecycle.  Our mutual approach to working together across our teams and mutual community has ensured this project came in on time and within budget.”, confirmed a Shelley Sutton, CEO of Dumfries Mutual.

“The Mutuals and the Dumfries team are a fantastic group of people to support as they develop and implement their digital strategies.  It’s amazing to see a company that has been around since 1856 still so focused on their community.  The key to this longevity is their ability to continually adapt to their consumer’s needs and the marketplace.  Moving forward with the OQS solution is just another great example of this continued evolutionary change process.  Their dedication to this project and support of our company including our aligned values enabled this project to be completed quickly and on budget.”, stated Jon Perry, Vice President – Client Relations of MCCG.
