Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario Opens Nominations for Annual Awards of Excellence

TORONTO, Ontario, July 5, 2018 /insPRESS/ Today the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) opened nominations for their 2018 IBAO Awards of Excellence program. Every year IBAO recognizes the broker channel’s best-in-class performers across four categories:
- Brokerage of the Year
- Young Broker of the Year
- Innovator of the Year
- Affiliate of the Year
“Winning an IBAO Award of Excellence is advantageous for both your personal and professional brand,” says Norah Black, IBAO Marketing Manager. “The press and promotion around the award has created many business opportunities for current and past winners – everything from business development to attracting new talent to boosting sales.”
Awards of Excellence winners are promoted across industry media and featured in a cover story in The Ontario Broker (TOB) magazine, profiling the story of their success.
“After our feature in TOB, we had a number of job applicants that specifically mentioned the article and the fact M&W looked like a cool place to work,” said Adam Mitchell, President, Mitchell & Whale, and 2016 Innovator of the Year.
Awards of Excellence finalists and winners are celebrated at the Opening Night Gala of the IBAO’s Annual Convention, this year held in Niagara Falls on October 17th. Family, friends, colleagues and supporters are invited to attend to help honour achievement across the channel.
“As a multi-cultural brokerage, we sincerely considered it an honour just to accompany the other two established brokerages as part of the Top 3 Finalists,” says Royle Leung, CEO & President of BrokerTeam and 2017 Brokerage of the Year. “While the night was filled with feelings of triumph, it was the reactions from people within the industry that were the most heartwarming. The true award was receiving these positive responses and seeing how proud our team was for winning.”
