July 2010, Toronto: iter8 Inc., an insurance solutions software developer is pleased to announce that DAS Legal Protection Insurance Company Limited (DAS Canada) has rolled out specialty legal expense insurance in Ontario as the first step in a country wide rollout, drawing upon the expertise and experience of iter8 Consulting Services.

When the DAS Group planned for entry into the Canadian market they were faced with several challenges including the lack of “local market” IT expertise, and the specific need for expertise in IT issues affecting North American P & C insurance. The new company chose to use the core Policy Administration System of their parent company, who was also building a web front end for Canada. DAS also required a new billing system as part of the broker portal for independent brokers, the exclusive distribution channel for DAS Canada.   

The combination of IT depth and insurance expertise within iter8 Consulting Services fit their needs completely. iter8 resources were able to act as the DAS “Canadian IT resources” that helped in workflow design, specifications for the web front end, selection of a new billing system, and perhaps most importantly, Project Management Services for the implementation and launch of the new systems that occurred on-time, on-budget.
