Markel Canada appoints Jennifer Devereaux as vice president, underwriting

TORONTO, ON, Jan. 22, 2019/insPRESS – Jennifer is accountable for underwriting, leading the product line leader team, technical underwriting oversight and underwriting operations. She places great importance on managing risk, empowering teams and partnering with all facets of the business in order to help clients manage risk and to achieve organizational success.

Jennifer has over 20 years of experience in commercial insurance, reinsurance and underwriting with a record of success in driving business development. Jennifer held several industry leadership positions most recently with Chubb Insurance Company of Canada as vice president, excess & specialty casualty – major accounts, with Temple Insurance Company as vice president, technical & special risks casualty, and with Arch Capital Group as vice president, corporate underwriting.
