Member Satisfaction with eDocs – 2017 Survey Results

October 11, 2017   by CSIO (Centre for Study of Insurance Operations)

(Toronto – October 11, 2017) The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is pleased to share the results from the survey they recently conducted with members, How Satisfied Are You with eDocs? The results have been summarized in a short PDF document that can be downloaded here.

The feedback from this survey will be used to further expand the workflow benefits that brokers currently enjoy with eDocs. Key findings from the survey include:

  • Over 85% of brokers ranked their eDocs experience as “Satisfied” or “Very Satisfied”
  • Expand the types of eDocs sent to include: cancellation and reinstatements, first notice of loss, underwriting memos, billing statements and lienholder copy
  • Carriers should provide brokers with the option of receiving the insured copy as well as add more commercial lines eDocs, including fleet and garage automobile, package, property, liability and umbrella policies
  • Brokers would like carriers to include a minimum of three description values when sending eDocs: document type, customer name and policy number

Carriers are welcome to contact CSIO in order to receive specific feedback from the survey about their eDoc process. Interested carriers can contact Monica Hanna, Business Analyst at mhanna@csio.com.
